Pink Batts Heartland Championship Week Five review

nz_heartland
Wairarapa Bush is on top of the table after a strong 28-8 win over King Country in Masterton, stretching ahead of Mid Canterbury and West Coast, who won their local derbies to keep heat on the ladder leader.

Mid Canterbury defeated South Canterbury 34-27 at the Ashburton Showgrounds, while Greymouth saw West Coast take down East Coast 15-11.

Poverty Bay’s horror season continued with a mammoth 53-18 loss to North Otago, which means the visitors to Gisborne leave with four spot on the table locked up, while also confirming their status as the best attacking side so far this year.

Wanganui and Buller were the other wins, too good for Thames Valley and Buller respectively.
