Head of the organizing committee of Afghan Super 15s League , The Kabul 15s Cup & Chief Executive Officer , Afghanistan Rugby Federation stated that

“One of the major reason that the event is organized at this period is to make the national side and the U19  more competent and prepared for the coming events. The tournament will boost the participation of the Afghans in the sport of rugby. Since the formation of the Afghanistan Rugby Federation( ARF) has had many different initiatives for the development and growth of the rugby sport, while of course rugby is still the newest sport in Afghanistan it has long way to go. The main obstacle for the slow growth of rugby is the lack of financial support and lack of play grounds. In fact there is no rugby ground in the whole country that is why the event is organized in the country’s football stadium. “

Rugby is a sport that I think will soon be one of the most playing sport in Afghanistan, since I have seen that those who have joined us are now in love with rugby and it needs passion to spread the sport  “ Said Mr. Mohammad Mansoor” Chairman Afghanistan Rugby Federation “
